Where Do Bass Live?

To understand the effectiveness of The Sled, a person must understand where bass live.  Both largemouth and smallmouth bass are predators. They eat just about anything that is alive and they can put in their mouth. Bass are opportunists. They don’t swim around looking for food. They hide and wait for food to come to them. Where they hide is the key to the success of The Sled.

Bass hide in sunken trees, bushes that over hang along the shore, under docks, bridge pilings, and rock piles, etc. – all known as “structure.” You will also find bass in and under weeds such as lily pads, tucked into thick milfoil and lurking beneath matted grass. The important point to remember, they are not out in the open. When you see people fishing with bobbers or out in the middle of the lake making casts, they may catch an occasional bass, but the big bass and the actively feeding bass are in the “thick stuff” mentioned above. If you want to catch these fish, you need to have your lure invade that hard to get at space. A jig will do it, but The Sled will do it much better. This site will tell and show you why.
